Unit 40: A Personal Letter

Dear Joe/ Mother,/Ann,/ Father,

Well, this is my second/ third/fourth week on holiday/ in England/here.

I like/ don’t like it very much.

I usually/ always get up at seven o’clock,/7.30,/eight o’clock, and have breakfast with my landlady./ in a restaurant./in the hotel.

English breakfasts are very big/ small, good.

I sometimes/ always/ usually go to school on foot/ by bus/ by car.

I usually arrive at school at nine o’clock./eleven o’clock./one o’clock.

In the evenings I usually/ sometimes/ occasionally stay at home, but  sometimes/ usually/ occasionally I go out to the cinema /a discotheque/a restaurant and see a film./dance./talk to my friends.

Life is very busy/ boring/ quiet here.

Tomorrow/ Next week/on sunday I’m going to a pub./ on an excursion./to the cinema.
